We are looking for a Trainee Animator to join our team at our office in Westhill, Aberdeenshire on a staff basis. This is a great opportunity as no previous experience specific to the role is required and all training will be provided.

What will you be doing?

You would be joining a professional group of animators with exceptional work ethic and team sharing mentality, working in one of the most energy diverse and challenging industries in the world. Our team provides a variety of skills and disciplines to support various project phases from tender and study through to installation and commissioning.

Typical Projects and Work Scopes include:

• Vessel pipelay / mobile equipment & operations
• Renewables – floating wind, carbon & hydrogen storage
• VR environment animations
• Subsea field development / architecture layouts and tie-ins
• Inspection, Repair and Maintenance sequences
• Installation / Decommissioning
• Safety awareness & familiarisation training
• Tenders / Studies / Feeds

What experience would we like you to have?

Ideally you will have had a school or college creative background in which you have focussed on graphic design / illustration / CGI / multimedia / Gaming / VR and have a good eye for detail. School candidates should have achieved Nat 5’s / Higher Level passes in subjects such as:

English, Graph Comms / Art & Design, Media, Computer Science.

College candidates should have National Certificates such as: Computer Animation / Game Design / Digital Media or similar.

Skills

• Essential: good communication & computer literate
• Desirable: knowledge of technical computer packages such as: 3ds Max, Phoenix FD, Unreal Engine, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite.
