Trainee Accounts Assistant
Salary: Salary to be agreed dependant on age, qualifications and experience.
Hours: 40 hours, Monday – Friday, 8.00am-4.30pm
Trainee accounts assistance required for our busy Finance Department to support the business to produce accurate financial information. Will be responsibly for customer accounts, invoicing, resolving, analysing, and investigating account discrepancies whilst working to strict deadlines
Main Duties to include:
- Preparing sales invoices and responsibility for the upkeep of accurate accounts
- Allocations of payments on accounts and assisting with credit control duties in order to bring in debts
- Debtor and creditor reconciliation
- Responsibility for financial accounts including budgets and cashflow
- Assisting in month end and end of year accounts
- Assisting with balance sheet analysis and reconciliation
- Ensuring that information is accurately collated and entered onto the system using spreadsheets
- Raising invoices and credits
- Liaising with clients and other departments in order to main accurate accounts
Key Skills and Competencies
- Keen to work to a high standard
- Microsoft skills, including excel
- Must have attention to detail
- Must be numerate
- Good communication skills
- Happy to work in a small team
- Willing to undertake an accountancy qualification
