Are you either a recent school leaver looking for your first accountancy position in a very good quality medium size accountancy firm? Or do you already have between 6 and 18 months experience working in an accountancy firm in a bookkeeping based role and looking for your next challenge? Are you looking to work for a medium size firm that specialises in working with interesting media, entertainment, creative, Film, TV and Sports Clients? Are you looking to join a good quality accountancy firm in Central London that will provide you with AAT and then ACCA / ACA study support? Are you keen to work in a mixed role where you will be trained so you can complete bookkeeping and VAT assignments for the first 12 months then be trained so you can prepare statutory accounts, tax returns and other interesting accountancy assignments? Are you keen to work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere which is very supportive with full training provided? Based in a good quality accountancy firm with over 60 staff in an easily accessible West End location in Zone 1 Central London, you will gain exposure to high profile clients that are on the TV, Radio and in Films. You will be trained so that you can prepare bank reconciliations, sales and purchase ledger processing, make payments for clients, cash and bank payments, VAT returns and some basic payroll duties. After around 12 months you will then be trained so that you can prepare statutory accounts and tax returns. Full study support for the AAT will be provided after 6 months and once AAT qualified you can then start the ACA or ACCA exams. Overall your role will be varied and challenging, and full training and support will be provided in order for you to carry out this role to a high level.
To be considered for this newly created role (June 2023) you must be either a recent school leaver with strong GCSE and A level grades and looking for your first accountancy role or you will already have 6 to 18 months of bookkeeping based experience in an accountancy firm. If you are a school leaver you must have some work experience in any setting just to demonstrate work ethic and working in a team environment. If you have relevant accountancy experience you will need 6 to 18 months of general bookkeeping experience in a good quality accountancy firm. You must be professional, have good communication skills, be a team player and be able to follow instructions. You must also be looking to work and study for a professional qualification (the AAT then ACCA or ACA). You must be looking to work on a wide variety of good quality clients, take on responsibility at a rapid pace and be looking for promotion in the future.
