We are currently looking for a Trainee Accountant to join Royal London Asset Management, in the Financial Reporting and Controls Team .
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated graduate looking to start a career in Accountancy. Study support will be provided for an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA) and as your experience and knowledge develops there will be opportunities to progress within the wider Finance team and Royal London.
The Financial Reporting and Controls team ensures that our financial and regulatory reporting occurs on a timely basis and that the ledger and sub-ledgers contain accurate financial information. This role has been created to support business growth at RLAM including the establishment and oversight of companies to support a new Property business.
About the role
Support month end processes including accruals, prepayments and associated journals.
Carry out balance sheet reconciliations.
Statutory entity accounting processes, including the preparation of annual report and accounts.
Provision of insight and analysis to other teams within Finance.
Engagement with external auditors and supporting audit processes.
Assist with preparation of regulatory returns, ensuring they are accurate and submitted on a timely basis
Respond to accounting queries and provide insight and analysis to other teams within Finance.
About you
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Numerate and analytical with excellent attention to detail.
Well organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Collaborative and flexible - happy to get involved in variety of tasks and projects.
Passionate to build a long-term career in Finance and as a chartered accountant.
