Our London- and Manchester-based support teams are the oil that keeps the iQ wheels turning, providing our brilliant site teams (circa 600 employees) with everything they need to deliver a fantastic student experience every day. The iQ Support functions cover everything from Real Estate and Legal to Marketing, People and Finance, but what we all have in common is our uncompromising commitment to doing the right thing, even when nobody's watching. We are looking for a graduate keen to begin their career within a fast-paced finance function, initially within the Group Reporting team. The graduate role will be supported through professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA or CIMA. There may also be the opportunity to develop within other finance teams (such as Finance Business Partners and FP&A).
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Assist the team with various intercompany reconciliations, including investigating monthly intercompany variances
- Working alongside the financial accountant to prepare month-end accruals and prepayments for Propco and Holdco Companies
- Assist the team with bank reconciliations across Propco and Holdco Companies
- Assist team with quarterly management company reporting
- Running audit report and helping to provide information for the external auditors
- Assistance with the Statutory and Group year-end process, including financial statements
- Approving internal transfer payments
- Building cross finance relationships (helping with support on requests from other teams such as tax and treasury)
- Completing ad-hoc work as directed by the line manager
Qualifications & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree (any subject accepted)
- Willing to undertake professional finance or accountant qualifications (ACCA or CIMA etc).
- Excellent written and numerical skills.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
