Arriva Traincare has an exciting opportunity for a Train Presentation Deputy to join the team based in our busy Crewe depot. You will be responsible for ensuring that trains delivered for service are clean, safe and meet to the clients expectations. Also delivering the highest possible performance as an individual and team leader.

Contract: Permanent contract, working an average of 38 hours per week from 18:30 to 05:30, on a 4 on 4 off shift roster basis.
What will this role of the Train Presentation Operative Deputy entail?
- Carry out tasks to meet customer requirements; ensure all cleaning activities are carried out in line with laid down operating instructions, procedures and processes.
- Take ownership of the output specification of presentation standards on a vehicle or unit.
- Ensure all trains delivered into service are clean and meet the client’s expectation.
- Lead a team of Train Presentation Operatives ensuring that all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Responsible for performance monitoring of Train Presentation Operatives via regular 121s and annual the performance review process.
- Ensure that team members are fully trained and assessed as competent to carry out their duties.
- Maintain good housekeeping of the cleaner’s stores; ensure that the materials required are available and all tools / equipment are regularly maintained, in working order and are fit for purpose.
What will I need to be considered for this Train Presentation Operative Deputy role?
- Previous cleaning experience is essential, involvement and understanding of train presentation is desirable.
- Ability to lead a small team and encourage good working relationships between team members
- Knowledge and understanding of COSHH
- Understanding of Depot Operations
- Understanding of applicable health, safety and environmental standards and requirements
