Your new role:
We are currently recruiting a dedicated Train Presentation Manager to join our train maintenance centre in London North Pole. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Train Presentation of the Class 800/802 fleets.
Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Contract Management and Compliance with regards to all cleaning activities as required in the TSA Contract.
- Responsible for the recruitment, setting up and ongoing management of the depot based cleaning team.
- Responsible for providing clarity and direction to the depot cleaning teams as and when required.
- Undertaking internal and external cleaning assessments and audits as required at the depot.
- Support other depot locations as directed by business for audits and assessment purposes.
- Working closely with the depot Shift Production Managers and Production team to ensure that allocated sets undertake internal and external cleaning to the required standards.
- To manage contracted cleaning activities for the GWR Hitachi fleets as required.
- Delivery of the operational cleaning plans, block cards, route cards and cleaning documents that will be required at the associated maintenance depot.
- Daily management of the KPI cleaning regime and associated KPI reporting.
- Recording of KPI failures on KPI scorecards though the associated I.T. Systems
- Document and record all cleaning activities as required to support the customer passenger service.
- Materials and staff planning in conjunction with the associated cleaning requirements.
- Ensure the cleaning teams are trained to the required standard including the use of the necessary I.T. systems to support the capturing of all cleaning KPIs.
- Assurance of train presentation standards to the Train Services Agreement Cleaning KPI’s
- Develop a strong working relationship with stakeholders and continuously improve train cleaning standards to result in the achievement of high KPI scores and avoidance of KPI Standards failures.
- To develop, supervise and continuously improve the quality and standard of all train cleaning activities.
- Ensure the cleaning teams undertake the Catering Equipment checks and report any defects to the maintenance team leader. Ensure all defects are recorded in the maintenance management systems.
- Undertake night time cleaning audits as required.
- In service cleaning audits of the train at turn around locations and while in service.
- To control and monitor the correct use of appropriate train presentation cleaning materials and bring any improvements to the Cleaning Standard Manager
- To control and monitor the use of cleaning and equipment, bring any issues to the Cleaning Standard Manager who will support the repair or renewal of equipment.
- Promote Health and Safety within the cleaning team and raise awareness amongst all staff of appropriate Health and Safety Regulations.
- Produce monthly reports to include KPIs as required and directed by the Cleaning Standards Manager.
- In line with the company sustainability policy ensure effective and economical use of equipment and materials.

Essential
- Manual Handling, COSHH
- Experience of delivering cleaning standards to an efficient, high quality within a transport environment.
- Outstanding Safety Awareness.
Qualifications
- Previous experience of Cleaning Supervision to exacting standards.

- Intermediate IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Working at Height, COSHH, Manual handling.
- Experience of working in a rail depot environment and at stabling out stations.
