As a Train Presentation Operative you’ll be the face of Northern, providing excellent customer service by creating a clean and welcoming environment for our many customers. In this role you will be a representative of Northern and expected to undertake your cleaning duties in line with our values and behaviours to satisfy our customer expectations.
Daily; We expect you to be reliable, dedicated and hard working to ensure that our trains are cleaned and serviced to the highest standards. You’ll be on the go throughout your shift, ensuring the cleanliness of our trains is maintained.
About you:
We are looking for highly motivated, reliable, and hardworking individuals to fulfil this role. Your greatest strength will be being part of a team, working to instructions and successfully maintaining high cleaning standards. Applicants should have a keen eye for detail, self-motivated and show initiative in tasks and duties. You will be an excellent communicator who can communicate and work effectively with colleagues and managers
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- a natural pride in your work and an eye for detail
- the ability to understand and follow instructions
- good team working skills
- high level of literacy
- have flexibility to work across a number of locations and shift patterns (including evenings and weekends)
Our trains and stations operate 7 days a week across a whole range of different hours early morning and right into the night. So, if your lifestyle enables you to work flexible shifts in line with our customer expectations over an average of 35 hours per week this could be the job for you.
Our training programme:
Through training and continuous development, you will be given the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver the highest of standards, it is therefore essential that you are willing to develop and grow with us. On your first day you will complete a depot safety brief, about the location you will be working at, you will then go on to doing a Personal Track Safety course, if it is necessary. You will learn how we deliver a great customer service to help us build a Railway the North can be proud of.
