Salary: up to £170 per shift depending on qualifications, skills and experience.

Wages are paid fortnightly, and this position comes with a company van for commute purposes and overtime opportunity!!!!

Guaranteed 48 hours per week based on Shift rotation7 days on and 3 days off, then another 7 days on and 3 days off, followed by 4 days on and 4 days off. This means you will work only 2 weekends per month

The owner of the business has over 27 years of experience and has invested considerably to ensure that Shift Traffic Events is at the forefront of technology and innovation.

We operate from these locations on a 24hr callout basis 365 days a year.

All operatives, supervisors and management are trained to NRSWA unit 2 and 10 as a minimum requirement along with a robust induction to ensure Health and Safety, on-the-job and task-specific training are at a premium. These factors enable us to provide a high-end service that is safe and efficient for all customers.

About the role of a Traffic Management Operative

Responsibilities:

The Traffic Management Operative sits at the heart of everything we and you will be responsible for:

  • Installing, maintaining and removing temporary traffic management such as deploying cones, signs, frames, and bags and high and other equipment on low-speed roads.
  • Undertaking traffic counts, calls to clients and subcontractors, timings and near misses
  • Maintenance of temporary traffic lights
  • Helping and guiding new trainees

What good looks like:

Qualified up to 12d, 12ab, M1-M6 is highly desirable however we will provide training where necessary

  • TTMBC / T1 / T2 qualified is also acceptable
  • Knowledge of Chapter 8
  • Physically fit and able to pass a safety critical worker medical,
  • You will possess a full driving licence, with no more than 6 points.
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
  • Positive 'can-do' attitude

  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent Timekeeping
