We are now looking for a Traffic Management Operative to join our Highways team in Birmingham to support in all aspects of incident response, including but not limited to, attendance at, making safe, repair of Category 1 defects, and assisting with highways emergencies as directed. Responsibilities
As Traffic Management Operative, you will operate vehicles and plants requiring specialist skills, including undertaking daily vehicle checks, routine maintenance (e.g. oil, water, wiper fluid), and cleaning, whilst ensuring defect reports are completed and submitted.
The role may also require you to provide cover on nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Your day-to-day will include:
Carry out temporary traffic management operations for various workstreams on the contract such as lane closures, traffic lights, road closures, and footway management works. Out-of-hours emergency TM response is also required.
Impact protection vehicle (IPV) to assist with any emergency works or mobile short duration operations on the contract.
Assist, as directed by either Kier management or the Police, with Highways Emergencies to ensure the Project Roads are available for the maximum amount of time practicable

This role of IRV Highways Maintenance Operative is great for you if you have:
Lantra M1/M2/M3/M3/T6 qualification
IPV Qualification – low speed and high speed
UK driving licence
Construction Skills Certification Scheme - Skilled worker level or higher
