For more information please visit our Careers section of our website fourhatsinc.com Four Hats Inc is looking to hire dedicated and observant flaggers to monitor the flow of traffic around utility construction sites. As a flagger, you are responsible for directing vehicles around the construction sites. You will also be responsible for placing barricades, sign boards, and traffic cones. To be successful as a flagger, you should have effective communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Ultimately, a top-notch flagger should demonstrate a sound knowledge of state traffic regulations as well as exceptional observation skills. No experience is necessary for this entry-level position! Experience a is PLUS but not required. WE PROVIDE TRAINING! We certify you! Responsibilities · Maintaining the flow of traffic around the construction sites. · Setting up traffic cones, and signs around the site. · Communicating with fellow crew members effectively and efficiently, by handheld devices and using hand signals. · Removing the barricades, traffic cones, and sign boards after completion of work. · Using hand signals and signs to direct the traffic. · Informing the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety. · Adhering to all the rules and regulations of the company. · Complete all required daily and weekly paperwork in a timely manner. · Ensure all proper PPE (personal protective equipment) is worn and maintained in compliance with Company policy. · Ensure the Safety and Security of all clients, colleagues and traveling public in or near the work zone and according to ATSSA standards. · Report any concerns/issues directly to a Field Supervisor. · Other duties as assigned. Flagger Requirements · Must have a valid Driver’s License · Must have a clean driving record. · Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and maintain a drug-free status. · The ability to stand, lift, bend, and twist for extended periods. · The ability to lift 65+ pounds repetitively. · The ability to work as part of a team. · The ability to work in uncomfortable and harsh weather conditions. · Exceptional observation skills. · Effective communication skills, both verbal and written · Proficiency in non-verbal communication such as hand signals, signs, and others. · Ability to work with minimal supervision. · Work experience as a Flagger or a similar position in the Construction industry. (Preferred not required) · Strong knowledge and understanding of traffic rules.
