Join the Product Control team which is responsible for looking after the middle and back-office functions for the multiple Mako trading and investment businesses across the globe. Asset classes traded include Cash Equities, Fixed Income, FX and Commodities.
The Trading Operations Analyst, will regularly be liaising with a range of departments across the business, including the trading floor, finance, risk, management and software development. You will also develop relationships with third parties such as Clearers, Exchanges and Brokers.
What you'll be involved in:
- Reconciling, affirming and confirming trades and positions for our Sydney and Singapore trading business
- Producing P&L and netliq reports
- Reconciling and analysing fees
- Processing corporate actions and dividends
- Managing equity Settlements involves liaising with traders, clearers and brokers to ensure timely settlement of trades
- Re-engineering and enhancing current processes
- Processing collateral and margin
What we need from you:
Required Skills
- Degree (or equivalent) educated, 2.1 minimum
- Process orientated with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and willing to learn
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Willingness to work required hours (1pm - 10pm)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management & organisational skills
- Interest in financial markets
Desired Skills
- Experience in financial services
- 1+ years' middle/back-office experience in the financial sector desirable.
- Team oriented and willing and able to actively assist in the re-engineering and re-design of operational process
- Competence in SQL/VBA
- Familiarity with a scripting language such as Python
