General Builder - Multi-Skilled Tradesman
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Builder - Multi-Skilled Tradesman to join our team. As a General Builder, you will be responsible for managing and executing various building renovation projects from start to finish. Your expertise in multiple trades will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of projects within specified timelines and budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan, organize, and oversee building renovation projects, including assessing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and developing project schedules.
2. Perform a wide range of construction tasks, such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, plastering, painting, and general repairs.
3. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project specifications and quality standards.
4. Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols throughout the construction process.
5. Procure and manage construction materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring their timely delivery and appropriate usage.
6. Monitor project progress, address any issues or challenges that may arise, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
7. Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to clarify project objectives, resolve design discrepancies, and ensure client satisfaction.
8. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and material inventories.
9. Train and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, new building techniques, and emerging technologies to ensure high-quality workmanship and efficient project execution.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a General Builder or Multi-Skilled Tradesman, specializing in building renovations.
2. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in various construction trades, such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, plastering, and painting.
3. Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute construction projects effectively.
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle unexpected challenges in a fast-paced environment.
5. Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
6. Proficient in using construction tools, equipment, and materials.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
8. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
9. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
10. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Salary: £14.00-£18.75 per hour
