Since 1999, The Simeon Centre Counselling Service has offered a confidential counselling service, free at the point of need, for people living in and around Bolton. We are dedicated to providing a welcome breathing space and an opportunity for clients to be heard in a peaceful and sensitive environment. We are dedicated to accepting our clients as they are, allowing them to self-reflect without judgement.
The role of Service Coordinator is to work alongside the Manager in order to maintain the schedule, ensuring that clients are allocated, and their cases maintained in a timely manner, and to support our team of 40-50 volunteers with ethical queries, safeguarding concerns, and professional development.
Main Responsibilities
· Allocating cases to counsellors, reallocating cases between counsellors, and closing cases.
· Collating and processing volunteers’ expenses.
· Dealing with / taking action on client disclosures and safeguarding.
· General customer service.
· General house-keeping when required.
· Greeting clients as they arrive.
· Keeping the daily schedules and weekly schedules up-to-date.
· Liaising with 1-Point on case related queries.
· Offering feedback on how to improve the service.
· Responding to counsellor and client queries over the phone, text service, and via email.
· Sending out weekly assessment form links to remote clients.
· Supporting counsellors, offering them guidance, and supporting with signposting.
· Updating SUITE with case notes and weekly assessment scores.
· Secure the premises at the end of working hours.
· Sending out evaluation forms to remote clients and updating them onto SUITE.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 17 per week
Salary: £10,188.19 per year
