Job description
As a Trading Support Associate, you will be having a crucial role by understanding trading structures to accurately capture all transactions, complete reconciliation checks, and ensure controls are performed.
As a member of Prime Finance Trading Services Team you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that all trades executed are entered completely & accurately into the Risk Management systems
- Performing core start-of-day and end-of-day controls to ensure Risk is correctly represented for Front Office
- Ensuring all trade capture and reporting exceptions are verified, cleared and escalated appropriately in a timely manner
- Liaising with various teams on issues related to Cash Equity trades
- E.g. Product Control, Sales, Sales Support, Cash and Derivative Settlements, Client Services, Reconciliations, Technology, Business Management
- Daily management of trade life cycle events (expiries, dividends, corporate actions, etc.)
- The integrity and continuous improvement of the pre and post trade controls environment
- Maximizing trade processing through tactical problem solving and root cause analysis
- Producing analysis for the trading desks and senior management
- Providing input into core projects including; industry-wide initiatives, regulatory, trading strategy, operational programs
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong security and derivative products knowledge and operational and/or line experience are required
- Self-motivation and demonstration of initiative
- Excellent Analytical skill and strong problem-solving skills
- Sound understanding of Equity Swaps, Cash Equities, Derivative products, trading workflows and corporate actions and experience supporting Trading Desks in Prime/Hedge Fund business
- Confidence to communicate with senior managers effectively
- Familiarity of various risk management systems and advanced PC/MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills
- Strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to different business needs
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills and highly organized and extremely detail and control orientated
- Keen to challenge processes and suggest automated solutions and ability to work well under pressure
- BA or BS degree
