What is the opportunity?
You will be part of the UK Trade Operations team. The Trade Operations Analyst will perform a variety of operational activities with a particular focus on trade processing, settlement and trade desk support for all GAM UK managed equity accounts. In addition, the Trade Operations Analyst will support project and initiative delivery.
What will you do?
- Be responsible for monitoring and processing trades executed by RBC Global Asset Management (UK) Ltd, ensuring accuracy and correctness of the trade lifecycle, confirming settlement of trades and resolving operational discrepancies
- Work closely and maintain good relationships with brokers and custodians
- Prepare reports as required such as for broker commissions, along with carrying out miscellaneous administrative functions
- Process improvement and automation, having the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of the business
- Have a strong relationship with the investment teams, traders and management
- Lead initiatives and one off projects as required

- College or University
- Ability to work and prosper in a team oriented environment

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-have
- Experience with the settlement of Emerging Market Equity securities
- Knowledge of Charles River and/or Bloomberg
- Knowledge of macros/intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in an investment management, custodial, and/or brokerage environment
- Solid experience in a trade operations role
- Knowledge or CTM/DTCC and Alert
