Trade Finance KYC Analyst, 6-month FTC
London
As a Barclays Trade Finance KYC Analyst, you will be a part of a wider Trade & Working Capital Product Management team who are collectively responsible for actively supporting the development, implementation, and execution of TWC Product strategy globally. This includes defining the client experience, digital and innovation strategy, driving the P&L. You would have ownership of the end to end lifecycle of the Trade Services products (Guarantees, Letters of Credit and Collections) across all Barclay’s geographies.

• You will be responsible for researching and evaluating any new emerging risks in the Trade Finance Industry
- Understanding Barclays and market ESG practices to champion and contribute to TWC ESG agenda
- Understanding of the economic, market and customer trends and development in the Trade Industry
- Driving the scoping and designing of the Trade Finance Financial Crime Risk Assessment
- Designing and executing a Trade Finance product specific Risk assessment ensuring financial crime and customer client risks are documented
- Providing subject matter expertise of Trade Finance Financial Crime landscape: Anti-money laundering, Countering terrorism financing, sanctions, and anti-boycott provisions
- Defining and commercialising product strategy and actively scan the external environment to identify any risks and opportunities to the Trade Finance Industry
- Driving and presenting to various internal forums such as Change and Governance forums Lead product initiatives for Trade & Working Capital
• Good understanding of Trade Finance products (LCs, SBLCs, Trade Loans, ECA offering)
- Proven track record of owning and delivering projects and/or initiatives
- Understanding of industry standards (e.g. publication and sources applicable to Trade Finance Financial Crime Risks) specific to Trade Financial Crime
- Experience of product ownership in a financial services organisation
• Experience in documenting Business Risk Appetite statements
- Experience of working in a excellent regulatory environment with attention to the detail
- Working knowledge of the full range of business disciplines e.g. Compliance, Operations, Service, Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, HR, and Risk
- Knowledge of credit management within Banking as well as related risks and mitigants
