Job description
We have an opportunity for you to join the Children Missing Education (CME) team in Peterborough to assist in meeting the statutory responsibilities in relation to Children Missing Education and the tracking of those pupils in accordance with national legislative requirements and local policy.
You will help identify CME and to put in place measures to safeguard these vulnerable children. This role will aid and support the work of the Monitoring Officers who carry out home visits. You will primarily be based at Sand Martin House in Peterborough and will be ensuring that as many children who are reported as missing that their whereabouts are investigated thoroughly through the tracking processes available.
You will be the first point of contact for the CME referrals and the Leaving City Forms. The investigations carried out through the administrative processes will determine whether cases are moved forward to the Monitoring Officers to carry out any home visits. Teamwork is essential as well as superb organisational skills and ability to have an eye for detail. A positive attitude also helps in what is a small but very busy team.
