Job Description


We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Senior Associate to join our Global Equity team.

This role not only offers you the experience of working with global clients and subject matter experts, collaborating to help solve problems and cut through complexity in order to deliver solutions, but also to help shape and mold this expanding area of our business, not just in the UK but in EMEA and globally. The team is a global team with hubs in London, Switzerland, New York and Sydney.

Our Global Equity team at Vialto works on exciting projects with a broad range of clients; from start-ups who are setting up their employee long term incentive (LTI) programmes to established large global and NASDAQ/FTSE 100 companies. They help organizations maintain their global compliance for (LTI) through to assisting them with setting their reward strategies for mobile employees using analysis of industry benchmarks, company policies and culture, and employee performance. As part of our global team, you’ll help clients remain compliant, consider the legal and regulatory requirements, tax implications, look at tax efficiency of LTI plans, assist with financial reporting and accounting advice along with helping determine and set up their compensation structure for mobile employees, including executives.

Role

You will work on a variety of projects and work streams for equity and reward such as:

  • Completing comprehensive tax due diligence and technical updates along with review of plan rules;
  • Cross-border equity and cash income tax and social security calculation compliance and consulting services along with leveraging use of technology for such work;
  • Building and maintaining relationships and processes with both clients and share plan administrators to ensure share vests run smoothly, all compliance are met and the individuals receive the correct net awards in a timely manner;
  • Assist with global tax compliance strategies and solutions for employer reporting and withholding on incentive compensation;
  • Preparation of global payroll reports, to ensure clients are able to meet their reporting and withholding obligations on long term incentive awards for both domestic and internationally mobile individuals;
  • Work on annual year end equity compliance obligations, such as the UK ERS filings;
  • Undertake a broad range of payroll LTI related issues, for example payroll disclosures, correcting payroll reporting/earncodes, advising on how to set up correctly etc;
  • Collaborate with clients on global employee education and training;
  • Help with large technology implementation projects for cross-border compensation.

Qualifications


The ideal candidate will have:

  • A good all-round knowledge of tax and social security principles, including tax equalisation;
  • A general understanding of compensation policies and practises;
  • A broad understanding of equity and share plan administration;
  • Some experience within Global Mobility;
  • A digital mindset - technology and data led solutions are critical to how we deliver effectively and efficiently to our clients;
  • Project management skills
  • A creative mindset, demonstrating an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong numeracy and data analytical skills with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts
  • Ability to be agile, consultative, creative, curious and client-centric
  • Ability to work collaboratively to develop new ideas
  • Strong time management; ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Strong relationship management skills including the proven ability to quickly build strong personal networks with clients and peers
