The Eric James Travel Group are a leading provider of luxury tours and experiences throughout Wales and the UK.

We work predominantly with boutique travel agencies to provide a world class touring experience to clients predominantly from the Americas, Canada and Europe. Due to nature of the work, professionalism, and nights out are required.

The work is exciting and varied and involves driving our luxurious fleet of vehicles on some of the largest, high-profile events to come to the country, looking after leisure and corporate clients and showing them the absolute best of Wales and the UK.

Our chauffeurs act as concierges on the road for their clients providing a safe, punctual, helpful, secure and informed experience; they keep our vehicles clean and sanitised; and they are part of a large supportive team of fellow chauffeurs, reservations/sales staff, and senior management working together.

Key responsibilities:

  • Escorting guests to and from destinations throughout Wales and UK
  • Helping passengers with their luggage
  • Providing expert information on locations and key points of interest
  • Making sure that the vehicle is clean and well maintained for each hire
  • Ensuring vehicle is well maintained and reporting issues immediately to the office
  • Ensuring quality standards are met
  • Safe and legal driving practices are expected at all times with or without passengers
  • Following accident notification process at all times, in line with insurance requirements

Essential:

  • Outstanding geographical knowledge of South Wales and surrounding areas
  • Bridgend OR Cardiff Council private hire/taxi licence - however training is available to the right candidates
  • Three years professional driving experience
  • Medically fit to undertake the duties described in main responsibilities
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working schedules given nature of the role, overnight stays may be required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 40 per week

Salary: £30,000.00-£49,761.56 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bridgend, Bridgend: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Driving: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Bridgend Private Hire Licence (required)
