Watches2U International are the largest independent online watch shop in the UK. In addition to Watches2U, we own Sunglasses2U, ChrisElli, and a number of own brand websites, all selling fashion accessories. We are an ever-expanding organisation with the ability to develop and nurture our team of dedicated staff members.
We are now looking for a new member of the Buying team in the role of Assistant Buyer. Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, you will be a forward-thinking, driven individual who will ensure that the business maintains its high standards.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 1 year experience in an admin role who can demonstrate a clear understanding of current trends & best practice. There is good opportunity for growth & development for the right individual within this role.
The role will cover a wide range of tasks and requires a comprehensive knowledge of Excel and Office packages.
The Role.
- Ensure accurate planning parameters are reflected in IT systems and regularly review to optimize inventory levels.
- Raise and issue purchase orders (contract & non-contract) to suppliers.
- Ensure optimum daily stock levels of each product are achieved.
- Monitor daily variances and potential stock outs, investigating and troubleshooting issues to resolution.
- Administer contracts.
- Interact with suppliers to obtain market and supply information, sharing with procurement and commercial teams.
- Negotiate on price and contract terms as needed, in line with budget parameters.
- Work with central finance teams to investigate and resolve supplier invoice queries in a timely manner.
- Proactively minimize invoice queries when placing, fixing, and arranging POs.
- Provide cover and support procurement manager in buying, contract management, pricing, and reporting.
Essential Skills
Good working knowledge of Excel
Good communication - written and verbal
Excellent organisational skills
Strong commercial awareness
1 year experience in a buying role or a Buying/Merchandising-related degree
This role is available for immediate start and would suit a recent graduate looking to enter the Buying field.
The role is office based at our Croydon offices.
