Edventure Travel is a school travel operator based on the Dorset and Somerset border and was founded in 2017. We offer bespoke school trips all over the world, with a focus on European Tours.
As a relatively new company you will be joining an ever growing business with opportunities to progress and develop with the company.
About the role
In this role you will be responsible for the administration of group bookings from start to completion of the tour. You will have your own accounts to look after and maintain.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Liaison with the group leaders and teachers. You will be their tour manager from start to finish and need to build long-term relationships to understand their tour objectives.
- You will also need to invoice and collect monies from schools, collate passenger information, rooming lists and meal requirements, all whilst maintaining the highest possible customer service.
- Booking all travel arrangements including transport (such as flights, ferries and coaches), entrance tickets, restaurant reservations and hotel arrangements. It is important to build good relationships with suppliers all over the world.
- Producing final tour itineraries with all booking information, tickets and reservations for the group leader.
- Collecting post-tour feedback and ensuring the effective retention of clients.
- Duty phone cover on a rota-basis when tours are on the road.
- As a smaller company you could also be involved in other areas when needed, including dealing with health an safety audits, updating marketing materials, social media and the website. There may be opportunities to travel within the UK and overseas to meet with suppliers and accompany group leaders on tour.
Essential Skills Required
- Experience of delivering exceptional customer service
- An interested in travel and tourism
- Problem solving ability and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads autonomously
- Strong influencing and team working skills, able to build and maintain trusting relationships with both clients and colleagues
- IT Literate with knowledge and experience of using MS products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Desirable Skills
- Previous travel industry experience
- Knowledge of a foreign language (French, German and Spanish)
- Microsoft Access knowledge and database management
- Health and Safety auditing experience

Salary: £23,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
