Job description
Penmaenpool Toll Bridge is under new Management and looking for Toll Keepers to keep the bridge open to both foot traffic and vehicles all year round.
Situated at the heart of Snowdonia National Park in the picturesque village of Penmaenpool nr Dolgellau, the bridge is a stunning example of Victorian engineering, and being one of only a few of its kind remaining in the UK, it’s a popular tourist attraction as well as a providing convenient local access to commuters.
We need to recruit a team of 3 part time Toll Keepers to work under the guidance of our existing Toll Keeper – together you’ll keep traffic flowing and of course, collect the relevant toll fees from visitors wishing to cross the bridge on foot, cycling or driving.
Our part time team will work approximately 20 hours per week with flexible shifts arranged on a rota basis, which will including some weekend and bank holiday working. We need our team to be flexible, and we’ll be as flexible as we can too.
Essential skills:
· English speaking (Welsh speaking advantageous)
· Customer service skills
· Experienced in cash handling
· Accustomed to key holder responsibilities
Desirable skills:
· Knowledge of the local area
· Experience in tourism/hospitality/retail
Starting salary of £10.42/hour
