This full-time (1 FTE) post is available from immediately on a permanent basis.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home with more time on campus are the start of term.
In collaboration with the academic Colleges, the Education and Academic Services (EAS) Directorate provides all of the key administration and education support activities that underpin the student experience from Freshers’ Week to Graduation. Service divisions within EAS include Library and Culture Services, Teaching Quality Assurance and Enhancement, Student Employability and Academic Success, Student Wellbeing and Welfare, and Education Services. This role sits within the Education Services area of responsibility comprising approximately 220 staff.
All teams within Education Services are asked to work collaboratively and innovatively as “one team” across wide-ranging but interdependent operational delivery remits for which excellent customer service relies on all areas of responsibility to work together and ensure an excellent staff and student experience. Education Services teams include Timetabling, Examinations, Student Records, the Student Information Desk (SID), Community Liaison, International Transition, Education Support teams, and Graduation Services.
Summary of the role
The Education and Academic Services (EAS) Directorate is one of the largest of the Professional Services Teams and is responsible for delivering world-class educational services to Faculties whilst ensuring the best possible experience for our students and academics.
We are looking for a timetabling administrator to help build and maintain the University timetable for staff and students who are attending classes located at our Streatham and St Luke’s sites. The post holder will have a key role in supporting academics and students to realise the best possible timetable for their teaching and learning at the University.
The successful candidate will enjoy problem solving, will be able to multi-task and will be committed to excellence in customer care. With experience in a range of office systems and software including Outlook, Word and Excel, the successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively in writing, by email on the telephone and in person. They will also be an excellent team player and be committed to equal opportunities. Experience with various aspects of scheduling, events planning and stakeholder liaison would also be advantageous.
