Job description
We require someone with a keen eye and skills for good workmanship as we pride ourselves in high standards of work. The work is hugely varied so we need someone who can think on there feet and overcome problems using their previous experience and skills.
Working hours - 7-4 Mon - Thurs 7-1 Friday's.
Responsibilities will include (but aren’t limited to);
- Plan jobs and work flow in the workshop.
- Manage other staff and teach apprentice's.
- Keep workshop and equipment in good working order.
- Work from engineering drawings and sketches.
- TIG / MIG / MMA (Aluminium and Stainless)
- Sheet Metal, patterns, and Frame Fabrication essential.
- Stainless Steel Pipe Welding.
- Mainly Workshop and some site work.
- Quality inspecting of your own work and others.
- Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- 2+ years’ experience of welding preferably - stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
- A good work ethic and good attention to detail.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and work overtime as required.
- Comfortable and competent working alone as well as part of a team.
- Team leader experience would be beneficial but training can be provided. This is a good opportunity for a good tradesperson who wants to take the next step towards management.
All interviewees will be expected to undertake a weld test at the interview stage.
