We are currently looking for a Shipwright to join our expanding team of dedicated craftsmen.
Vortec Marine are a leading independent yacht refit, repair and maintenance service centre providing high-quality service and workmanship with an experienced team consisting of shipwrights; joiners; marine engineers and riggers. Vortec are equipped to cover all manner of works from annual maintenance through to full refit, accommodating vessels measuring up to 40m. We are also the accredited Nautor’s Swan Authorised Service & Refit Centre and Hinckley Yachts Service UK.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· General shipwright tasks
· Fitting interior bulkheads and interior panels as well as interior components/ fixtures.
· External fittings including; winches, cleats, windows, catches & hatches
· Teak deck install and re-caulking decks .
· Bond different materials together and have a good understanding of the prep
requirements to produce a quality job.
· Fit deck hatches with a sound understanding of hinges, gas rams and seals.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
· Experience of working in the luxury yacht industry.
· Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
· Good team player and excellent communicator.
· Understanding of quality processes.
· Ability to listen, understand & follow instructions.

Job Type: Full-time, lunchtime finish on Fridays!

Salary: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
