Report To - Ticketing Manager / Operations Director
Primary Role:
- To be an active and effective member of the Ticketing team.
- To sell tickets and maximise sales opportunities.
- To deal with customers in an approachable, friendly, and helpful manner, always representing the SMC and event hosts positively while enhancing the customer experience.
Main Duties:
- Create stadium tickets for events, ticket types, products and ticket classifications within the ticketing platform for online and ticket office sales, from information provided by event hosts.
- Manage the back-office function of the online ticketing platform.
- Manage the allocation and processing of tickets.
- Arrange production of tickets and passes for stadium events.
- Produce sales reports from the ticketing platform as required by senior management.
- At the end of each shift, to account for personal sales monies and reconcile these with the ticketing system reports.
- To respond to all ticketing enquiries via email, telephone, or face to face.
- To carry out ticket sales duties using the venue’s ticketing system, conversing with the public at the ticketing office and on the phone, ensuring constant attention to detail.
- To be fully informed and be proactive in the marketing of all stadium events, associated event products, services, facilities and looking to create sales opportunities whenever possible.
- To ensure members of the public are greeted in a welcoming, courteous, helpful, and positive manner both in person and on the telephone.
- To be proactive on behalf of SMC and event hosts in customer satisfaction, ensuring that their requirements are dealt with efficiently.
- To capture customer information in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act with particular emphasis on acquiring email addresses wherever possible.
- To print and pack customer tickets and membership orders.
- To cover event day ticketing sales as required.
- To act as a point of reference for enquiries concerning the activities of the SMC (Game dates) and stadium events.
- To operate as a point of contact for all stadium visitors, such as contractors and SMC visitors.
- To complete all duties in accordance with York Stadium Management Company policies and procedures, inclusive of health & safety policy, equality policy and code of conduct, while also complying with the content of his / her contact of employment.
- To report accidents, injuries, and illness to their line manager.
- To report equipment defects which cannot be remedied to their line manager.
- To carry out any other functions reasonably requested by senior management.
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Salary: £9.00-£9.50 per hour
