Threat Intelligence Intern - (EMEA - Remote)

Location - Fully Remote (must be based in UK, Germany or Romania with correct right to work)
The Threat Intelligence Internship is fully remote and requires no travel. Your work location is the city/town/province you will be working from remotely. For our 12-week internship program, interns are allowed to work remotely from an alternative location for up to 2 weeks. Interns are also invited to work out of the CrowdStrike office located closest to their remote location.
About the Role:
Under the direct guidance of a champion you will work for the Technical Analysis Cell (TAC) Cloud Mission by performing information security research either to support intelligence production, intelligence collection, or by producing intelligence yourself. Based on your particular skill set some projects may include, but are not limited to:
- Extending existing tooling to analyze cloud-related log data.
- Developing capabilities to track a malware family of an opportunistic cloud-conscious actor. Project specific requirements are:
- Varying degrees of x86/x86-64 reverse engineering (using tools like WinDbg, IDA Pro or Ghidra) based on which malware family is chosen
- Systematic study of cloud service provider vulnerabilities. Project specific requirements are:
- Basic understanding of Cloud architecture, security architecture, and virtualization
Minimum Qualifications:
- By the beginning of the internship, interns must have completed at least 2 years of their bachelor (or similar undergraduate) program pursuing a degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or an equivalent program. Students pursuing a master’s degree in one of the aforementioned fields are also invited to participate in the internship program.
- Although CrowdStrike is a primarily remote company, collaboration is intrinsic to the success of our mission. Therefore, the strongest applicants will be those who can communicate effectively and frequently, and work well with fellow interns and employees.
- Independent, self-driven learner
- An eagerness to learn through hands-on experience, projects, and self-study specific to your internship project.
- Project specific requirements if stated above
- Proficiency in Python
Bonus Points:
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- x86/x86-64 reverse engineering (using tools like WinDbg, IDA Pro or Ghidra)
- Experience producing Cyber Threat Intelligence
- Desire to rapidly increase skills and activity seek opportunities for growth
- Have an investigative mindset and a desire to stop evil
- Be able to keep up with the latest vulnerabilities and breaches
