Threat Intelligence Analyst
Glasgow
As a Barclays Threat Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for synthesising information from vendors, external partners, open-source reporting, and peer financial institutions and organic information in a timely manner to analyse and identify the top threats to the bank, our supply chain, customers, and clients. You will enable improved resource prioritisation and proactive remediation of controls gaps enhancing security in line with our effective, intelligence-led defence strategy.

What will you be doing?
• Analysing datasets from internal and external sources to provide timely and relevant threat intelligence for customers in and outside the Chief Security Office
- Providing ad supporting comprehensive reports to Barclays Senior Leaders, Chief Information Security Officers and Risk and Compliance teams
- Championing a collaborative environment ensuring cross team analysis that provides a holistic intelligence picture
- Delivering threat intelligence, maintaining the best practices of the intelligence process
- Validating the credibility and reliability of sources and the information they provide from multiple datasets and vendors
- Monitoring existing threats and identifying new and emerging threats that could impact the bank, its customers and supply chain
- Mitigating threats by identifying themes and tactics, techniques and procedures used by threat actors
- Working flexibly, dynamically prioritising stakeholders’ requirements, fulfilling their needs and managing their expections
• Experience and understanding of Cybersecurity, Insider Threat, Fraud, Geopolitics, Physical Security, Supply Chain Threats, and/or Emerging Technologies
- Significant Experience and understanding in data analytics, including the ability to maintain large data sets with a high degree of accuracy, and identify patterns and trends
- Excellent Experience and understanding of stakeholder management or customer management
- Profecient Experience in presenting complex material in a way that is targeted to the audience
• Experience and understanding in applied statistical analysis and/or descriptive and predictive analytics
- Significant Experience and working understanding in a regulated financial environment
- Excellent Experience and working understanding in an international environment with stakeholders across multiple time zones
- Degree or professional certification in intelligence, security studies, cybersecurity, or a related field – or equivalent professional experience
