We are currently seeking the right person to join the CCO team in the role of Third Party Risk Officer (TPRO)
Third Party Risk Officer (TPRO) is part of the Chief Control Office within the Chief Operating Office and support the CIIOM Entity on all aspects of management reporting, governance, risk oversight and administration for the implementation and ongoing management of the HSBC Third Party Risk Policy Framework and associated activities.
This team will champion, deliver and contribute to the application of necessary local Third Party and Outsourcing policies and processes, procedures and tools supporting the Third Party ‘Framework’. The role provides risk management support, subject matter expertise and direction for Third Party Risk related activities and issues. This is a team that needs to balance a demanding and fast paced agenda; workload and desired outcomes will change according to business need. The successful candidate will own delivery for specific tasks as well as supporting the team to complete all tasks on time and to a very high standard.
In this role, you will:
- Act as the point of contact for Third Party Risk Management related matters on behalf of CIIOM.
- Review and monitor Third Party Risk related issues across CIIOM, including delivery performance of material Third Parties.
- Undertake Continuous Monitoring of Third Party Risk position against set risk objectives and within Helios.
- Review and analysis MI and translate key information, producing briefing updates, papers and trends to key stakeholders and relevant Country, Regional and Group Governance Committees/Forums.
- Support the embedding of initiatives to enable CIIOM Entity to operate efficiently.
- Proactively work with Third Party Engagement Managers (TPEMs) and Group to ensure alignment understanding and governance of Third Party Risk, providing advice and guidance to TPEMs Produce packs, briefing updates and papers for senior risk management committees. Acting as Secretariat for Third Party Management Oversight Committee (TPMOC) and Chair for Third Party Risk Management Forum (TPRMF)
- Have an understanding across all key areas of the Third Party Risk team responsibilities to provide support or cover when required.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- A good understanding of financial services and the regulatory environment it operates in.
- Awareness of the challenges and key risks for the business that come from working with Third Parties is desirable.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required for the role; advanced knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint is advantageous.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with an ability to learn quickly.
- Exceptional spoken and written communication skills, with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, working to ensure the success of the team, contribute productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals.
