Fixed Term- 12 Months - 37.5 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Therapy Assistant within our Vascular Therapy Team.
Our team is part of the vascular service for the South Mersey region, with focus on amputee rehabilitation, having direct links with Wirral Limb Service. You will be working alongside an experienced therapy team in a variety of settings including inpatient wards, patient’s homes and clinic settings. The role includes working closely with our extensive Multidisciplinary team across West Cheshire, Wirral & Warrington areas to ensure we achieve best patient care.
Good communication, adaptability and team working skills are essential for this post. Experience of working with adults in a care setting is essential for the role and would ideally wish for some rehabilitation experience. We provide a friendly and supportive environment for learning and gaining the skills needed for the position.
To provide support to the therapists in the assessment and treatment of patients and will implement prescribed therapy programmes.
You will be a positive individual with a can-do attitude who can learn and adapt quickly and is flexible.
Effective communication with excellent organisational skills and be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Applicants should have a professional and pleasant manner at all times and be enthusiastic about the service provided by the Therapy Team.
The post is varied, with the post holder working directly within the therapy team but also under their own initiative with support and supervision provided.
You will be expected to work weekends and Bank holidays on a rota basis
Secondment for internal staff will be considered
Comprehensive training will be provided for all aspects of the work expected by the post holder.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £23 (standard) or £43 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.
