Therapist - Mental Health Mountain View, CA

Hallowell Todaro ADHD Center
Full Time Mountain View, CA 90 - 165 USD HOURLY Today
Job description

Hallowell Todaro ADHD Center is one of the first ADHD centers in the U.S. to provide all services associated with ADHD under one roof: assessment, medication management, coaching, and therapy. We are using the strengths-based approach, pioneered by our co-founder, Dr. Edward Hallowell, author of Driven to Distraction and ADHD 2.0.

Our team is currently looking for licensed therapists, counselors, social workers, and/or psychologists with experience in diagnosing and treating children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples with ADHD and/or other mental health challenges.

This work can be done on a part-time or full-time basis, with the option of a hybrid schedule of in-person and Telehealth. It is strongly preferred that 50 % of the hours are in-person in Mountain View. The work environment is based on a hybrid of private practice and group practice, allowing providers to:

  • Focus on client care due to strong support from our administrative team to handle scheduling, billing, and other non-clinical tasks
  • Set their own working hours, allowing for more autonomy of their schedules, supporting a healthy work / life balance
  • Connect and collaborate with our diverse group of clinicians in person, through coordination of care for shared clients, through case consultation, and other group events
  • Access continuing education, trainings, and professional development opportunities year round

Role & Expectations

  • Provide initial diagnostic evaluations for ADHD and other mental health conditions, screenings, and assessments for new clients seeking diagnosis and ongoing services.
  • Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic interventions for ADHD, co-existing conditions and other mental health challenges. It is strongly preferred that candidates have relevant experience providing behavioral interventions or evidence-based treatment protocols.
  • Work with clients, and parent/guardians, if necessary, to develop individualized coping strategies, set goals, and achieve better outcomes
  • Educate clients and, in some cases, their families on the nature of their challenges, the causes, the different treatment options, and relevant scientific knowledge on the subject
  • When necessary, communicate with family members, teachers, physicians and others as part of a comprehensive care plan

Job Requirements

  • Licensed to practice in the state of California. We will consider candidates who are in the final stages of meeting requirements for licensure only if they have exceptional qualifications and experience to treat clients with ADHD.
  • Compassion for clients and a drive for helping others.
  • Experience evaluating and treating clients with ADHD and co-existing mental health conditions; it is strongly preferred that candidates have training in evidence-based therapies or behavioral interventions.
  • Able to work well individually and collaborate with others.
  • Be able to commit to taking on 10-15 clients per week
  • Must be able to work on site at least 50% of the time

  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance if working 25 or more hours per week
  • 401k plan
