Job description
The Staff Support Service would like to recruit an accredited CBT Therapist to work within our dynamic and friendly trauma based service supporting our colleagues within NSFT. We are an innovative service offering a variety of modalities and would welcome applicants with additional qualifications (eg EMDR/CFT/ACT etc).
The team works both remotely and face to face with staff members across Suffolk and Norfolk. All of our team are proud of our positive and progressive impact that our support is having on NSFT staff.
The main duties of this role will be delivering CBT therapy to NSFT staff members who have experienced difficulties that are impacting on their working lives. You will be involved in carrying out assessments, treatment planning and attending waiting list and complex case discussion meetings.
The successful candidate will hold and manage their own caseload with regular supervision and case discussion provided within the team.
The Staff Support Service engage in team events in both Suffolk and Norfolk and we encourage all of our team members to be involved in our networking events across the Trust.

The Staff Support Service is a small and supportive team with an interest in research and professional development. Our main focus is on trauma informed therapy across a range of modalities including CBT, EMDR, CAT, ACT, EFT and TRE . The team is made up of Clinical Nurse Specialists, Psychotherapists, and Clinical Psychologists.

- To utilise specialist assessment skills to determine a potential client’s suitability for CBT/Therapies,and make informed recommendations for other treatment modalities where indicated.
- To develop individual case formulations for all clients integrating clinical assessment data with evidence based psychological models in order to plan CBT/Therapies for individual clients and collaboratively engage them in the process of therapy.
- To manage specialised caseload and maintain clinical records, including electronic, in accordance with service policies and Core Professional guidelines (e.g.: NMC, BPS) and BABCP guidelines
- To maintain client confidentiality with adherence to Trust, core profession (e.g.: NMC) and BABCP policies.
