THEATRE/ PERFORMING ARTS TECHNICIAN - 30 hours per week, Monday – Thursday, Term Time plus 8 days worked during school holidays

We are seeking to appoint a Theatre/ Performing Arts Technician with creative flair and technical expertise who is willing to become fully involved in the dynamic life of our school. The Technician will have the experience to provide support for every aspect of school productions, including sourcing, making or hiring costumes; sets and props; advising and organising the sound and lighting.
An enthusiasm for working with young people is essential as is an ability to design, rig and operate basic lighting, sound and AV equipment creatively and safely. The role will also require academic support at GCSE and A Level for design/technical candidates. This role might suit a recent graduate of either Technical Theatre or Drama.
Technician support experience within a School, College or University would be advantageous. Professional experience working in the theatre or Live Event industry is desirable. Experience with IT would also be beneficial.
