PURPOSE OF ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estée Lauder Companies Supply Chain function for a Demand Planner reporting to the Regional Demand Planning Manager. The Demand Planner will be responsible for a cluster of brands in a high-profile role that directly influences the UK Region’s ability to deliver its commercial objectives. This includes driving code level plan accuracy, maximising service levels, inventory optimisation and enhancing decisions by improving supply chain analytics and reporting. The role will require building compelling narratives to explain and improve business performance, whilst developing & maintaining collaborative relationships to support and deliver the branded commercial objectives. This will involve utilising systems and driving process enhancements, including o9, Antuit, SAP and Power BI to provide excellent plan quality and support the brands consumer promise.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively collaborates with Brands, Finance, Supply planning and Global Supply Chain to generate balanced demand plans based on agreed objectives and operating guidelines via the IBP process.
- Responsible for achieving plan quality as defined by Weighted Forecast Accuracy, Attainment and Bias using o9 by leveraging the Antuit statistical models and creating sales drivers to build the plan.
- Manage the SKU-Channel forecasts in the o9 system for a Brand cluster as part of a monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process cycle.
- Assure the timely communication of ongoing demand forecast changes to stakeholders in the Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance Teams.
- Develop accurate new launch forecasts including management of broader category impacts in conjunction with the Marketing and Sales departments.
- Manage all promotional requirements from forecast production to event execution with the Marketing and Sales teams.
- Chair the monthly Demand Review meetings and play a key role in driving Demand and Gross Sales plan alignment through the Integrated Business Planning meeting with Senior Brand Management.
- Drive resolution of forecast accuracy, customer service and inventory management exceptions, establishing clear root cause and leading appropriate actions to deliver sustainable improvement.
- Implement process improvements across the wider Demand Planning team.
- Support the delivery of both Global and UK Region Supply Chain Strategy through management of broader initiatives and projects.
- Integrate external / industry standard best practise into the internal processes to be shared with the wider team.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS / ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills including Power BI
- Attention to detail & high levels of accuracy
- Confidence liaising with senior management and key stakeholders in making recommendations and influencing decision making
- Advanced systems competency with a need for ERP experience and cloud-based solutions
- Ability to interpret data and translate into insights and actions
- Organized and proactive with proven project management skills
- Self-directed, proactive, and focused on continuous improvement
