At Porsche Centre Tewkesbury, we have an opening for an Apprentice Technician to join our fantastic team and attain a NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Overall, we are looking for someone who not only is passionate about cars and proud to work for the brands Dick Lovett represents, but above all keen to learn and develop their knowledge to find out ‘how things work’ and ‘how things can be fixed’. We aren’t looking for the finished article; we’re looking to give someone the best start in their career…
You will be given the training and support you need to develop both personally and professionally. Using a combination of classroom-based training, e-learning, practical training and application of learning, you will be guided by your trainers and personal mentor along to the road to success.
About the Role:
The role is demanding as the successful applicant will be working on a range of vehicles whilst learning their trade to a nationally recognised standard. Modern cars are becoming increasingly complex and it is essential that today’s Technicians are fully conversant with the most recent technology. This is an exciting opening for an opportunity to earn while you learn gaining a nationally recognised qualification and a future career.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to be part of our three-year apprenticeship programme, and once completed, continue to be part of the successful team at Porsche.
Essential Skills:
To apply you must hold GCSE's in grade C/Level 4 or above in English, Maths and one other subject.
When it comes to selecting the right people to become Porsche Apprentices, it’s as much about attitude as it is about vocational and academic success. Therefore, in addition to the qualifications, we also look for the following key behaviours:
- Willingness to learn
- Great at working in a team and sociable with others
- Motivation and personal responsibility
- An interest in automotive engineering
- Organised with great attention to detail
- Problem solving
We get many applications for our apprenticeships and so we would like to see a CV or Apprentice Application Form and a cover letter letting us know why you would be a great fit for this role.
The closing date for this role is Thursday 10th August. Successful applicants will be invited to an Assessment Morning on Tuesday 15th August.
