Test Engineer (Hybrid Manual/Automation)
Salary: competitive depending upon experience
Where the job is based: (home-based 3 days a week, working on customer site in Swansea Wed/Thurs every week + expenses paid)

Primary purpose of role: Ensuring quality of functionally rich applications that delight customers
Required Experience:
· Ideally 2 to 4 years of experience
· Performing planning of test activities for the assigned area of the project(s), develop test plans, test scenarios and test cases
· Ensure effective quality control during development
· Work with developers during execution stages of the project to resolve quickly and effectively the issues found
· Ensure strict correspondence between solutions developed in the team and customer’s requirements
· Automation Framework Design and Implementation
· Creation of robust Automation Test Plans
· Analysis of functional and non-functional use cases, and identification of automation candidates
· Design, develop and maintain automated scripts, adhering to best practise
· Creation of clear, meaningful Test Result Reports
· Being highly delivery focused and engaging effectively with all types of team members to drive projects forwards
· Other tasks as reasonably requested
Skills:
Candidates are expected to have all of the following skills;
· Strong knowledge of testing theory and understanding of software verification
· Ability to drive testing processes starting from planning phase to test execution, bug fixing and support
· Knowledge of bug-tracking tools
· Excellent communicator, capable of engaging at all levels with customers
· Automation experience using Selenium or similar
· Create and maintain coding standards for automation, pushing the framework forward and maintaining it over time
· Ability to develop automated functional tests, which exercise the UI, API and DB layers.
· Test Planning and estimation
Candidates are expected to have some of the following skills;
· Ability to contribute to the Automation Test Strategy, and Tooling Strategy
· Automation of non-functional tests, including load and security testing.
· Excellent technical investigation skills
· Database knowledge like MS SQL
· Knowledge of Business Process modelling tools
· Remote work environment experience
