Base Site Location: Sheffield – Travel is fully paid when working off site.
Contract Type: Zero Hours
Hours: Varied
Salary: 14 pounds per hour (GBP) plus holiday pay accrued pro-rata.
PSI are offering an amazing opportunity based in our Sheffield location with occasional travel to other Test Centres if required.
PSI are looking to expand their test centre teams of invigilators and administrators and seek professional, knowledgeable and driven individuals to join the PSI family. You will be responsible for the invigilation of exams and the efficient delivery of tests to candidates, ensuring that relevant procedures and guidelines are always adhered to.
PSI runs test centres which are open to the public, in some locations seven days per week and it is essential that you have a flexible approach to working hours and arrangements. The role will require attendance across all centre opening hours – which will include two late evenings and two Saturdays/Sundays per month.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Invigilation of exams and efficient delivery of tests to candidates and follow company policies using careful judgment
- Verifying customer/candidate personal identification documents and explain the exam testing process/rules
- Conducting visual & physical security and identity checks on candidates and following company policies using careful judgment
- Providing the highest levels of customer service at all times
- Ensuring that candidate needs are met with understanding and respect
- Performing test centre opening and closing procedures
- Ensuring equipment and workstations are properly set up
- Proctoring / invigilating candidates while they are completing their exam/test.
- Troubleshoot with internal departments, such as our IT department to fix any technical issues in the Test Centre.
- Some housekeeping duties such as vacuuming floors and sanitizing keyboards/workstations after each candidate has finished their exam/test.
- Dealing with candidates sign in as required, and ensuring the test process is clearly explained to candidates, and proving test results to candidates as needed
Please note as per current COVID-19, safe working practices are in place including social distancing measures and PPE adherence required, where applicable, with PSI employees and centre users.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
- Experience in similar roles is an advantage however not essential as full training will be given
- Experience of a customer facing role
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- IT Literate
- An ability to work under pressure and sometimes deal with difficult situations
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Please note that the security clearance required in this role requires candidates to hold a current UK, EU or Commonwealth passport with Indefinite Leave to Remain (or equivalent) with a minimum of 1-year validity left on the passport.
- You must be a UK resident with a minimum of 5 years continuous residence in the UK.
- Basic DBS checks will be conducted on all applicants at no cost to them.
