Job description
Working as a QA Analyst you will work to ensure the quality of the software by generating and executing product functionality tests and identifying and reporting product defects as part of a cross functional project team. Working with the QA lead & Head of QA, you will use your experience & skills to help drive best practice within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing & Executing software tests.
- Participate in all aspects of QA product lifecycle: understand the product requirements, test case creation, feature/regression/integration/exploratory/end-to-end test execution’
- Log defects and track fix progression.
- Work with developers & Product Owners to diagnose and rectify software problems.
- Understand product business requirements and review functional specifications, to detect and remove defects early in the product development lifecycle.
- Write test cases in line with a specification to test core functionality, identify and investigate ambiguities in test results and propose solutions.
- Execute test cases on specific areas of product functionality and check outcomes against expected results.
- Participate in Agile development processes including communicating ideas, questions and concerns openly with the team.
- Participate in the relevant scrum events: planning and estimation, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Implement and use the departmental standard QA processes and tools.
- Working collaboratively with developers and testers to ensure quality is built into our applications as new features and technologies are introduced.

Key Requirements:
- Experience of software testing within an Agile environment
- Experience of Azure DevOps and test management tooling
- Experience of writing, maintaining and executing manual and automated test cases
- Experience of the entire SDLC
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience of SQL database queries
- Experience of integration testing
- Experience with working in TDD/BDD environment
- Must have a pro-active, positive, open and collaborative approach to working with others in a team
- Must be open to learning new skills and self-development to drive both personal and team growth
- Must be comfortable in giving feedback at all levels with integrity as well as receiving it to build trust
- Advantageous - ISTQB qualification
- Advantageous - experience with C# language
- Advantageous - Experience and understanding of Automated testing (Selenium WebDriver)
- Advantageous - Experience of API testing (Postman & Swagger)
