Job description
We are currently seeking Territory Sales Managers for our branches throughout BC (Kamloops, Prince George, Fort St. John, Cranbrook, and Vernon). If applying, please indicate which branch you are applying to.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Corporate General Manager, Territory Sales Managers are responsible for generating revenues through sales and rentals of new and used equipment, establishing strong business relationships with new and existing customers, and taking a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for continued growth and expansion.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of sales and marketing strategies to attract new customers and drive Branch revenue growth and profitability
- Contact existing customers and potential new customers within the assigned sales territory through personal visits, telephone calls, and e-communication (email, etc.)
- Proactively scan and monitor current and potential customer and competitor activities, industry events and development plans (ex. mills, plants, projects), industry regulation changes, and other relevant activities to help with sales planning and forecasting for the Branch
- Coordinate sales related activities (new customer identification, telephone and email communications, visits,etc.) with the Corporate General Manager
- Maintain regular contact and follow-up with existing customers to confirm satisfaction with products and services, and to provide information about new products, services, special offers, and other points of interest regarding Woodland Equipment Inc.
- Thoroughly and accurately document actual and attempted correspondence with current and potential customers
- Participate in networking opportunities, trade shows, conferences, informational seminars, and other relevant industry events
- Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance procedures for after-sales service and support to promote continued customer loyalty and repeat business
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the BC heavy equipment industry and/or the BC forest industry is preferred
- Exceptional business relationship building skills
- Proactive approach to sales, marketing, and customer relations
- Willingness to travel (primarily by road) for purposes of meeting new or existing customers, including travel to remote customer work locations as required
- Exceptional teamwork abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Keen business acumen, demonstrated initiative, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Basic computer skills (Windows, Internet, Email)
- Valid BC Drivers Licence with clean driving abstract
- Individuals with experience in other forest industry related fields (ex. Professional Forester background) may be given priority consideration
Compensation
Base salary, competitive commissions, extended health and dental benefits, vehicle allowance, and expense reimbursements are standard for this position. Successful Territory Sales Managers typically achieve six-digit annual earnings with our company.

Salary: $60,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
