L-Pac is an independently owned packaging distribution business, supplying industrial businesses across the North East and North West regions with a wide range of packaging materials.

Established in November 2020 and following a very strong first 2 years of trading, we are once again looking to expand our team and invest in the future.

We are seeking the right individual to join our dynamic business and be based from our Durham distribution centre, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

We have ambitious plans for 2023 and beyond, in order to continue the same rate of growth we are looking for someone to join the Durham team with a focus on generating and cultivating new sales opportunities within the North East region.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join the fastest growing packaging business within the region.

The Role

The role is a fantastic opportunity to play a major part in L-Pac’s growth within the area along side a heavily experienced and supportive team.

The Territory Sales Manager will take full responsibility and accountability for sales and gross profit within an allocated sales territory.

The successful candidate will be responsible for making sure that all sales and revenue generation opportunities are fully utilised.

The right individual will be familiar with a customer portfolio and opportunities within the territory to enable a quick generation of sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

· To secure profitable new customers focussing on key target sectors.

· Manage and develop sales growth and profitability within territory.

· Building sustainable relationships with key decision makers and influencers

· Lead and negotiate long-term agreements with both new and existing accounts.

· Generation and development of own leads.

· Meet yearly and monthly sales and gross profit expectations.

· Work within the business on the development and implementation of value-added products and services to customers.

· Manage and develop sales growth and profitability within territory.

· The development of profitability through value added sales.

· Demonstrate excellent customer service.

· Identify market trends to maximise business opportunities.

Skills and Experience

· Robust track record of achieving sales and gross profit targets within a field sales role.

· Tenacious sales individual with a strong focus on new business development.

· Field sales experience and overall knowledge within the packaging sector would be of preference however knowledge in a similar industry and customer base would be considered – MRO, PPE, Freight, etc.

· A good understanding of the challenges faced around packaging within our customers operations and to coherently communicate a brief with the team internally to develop value added solutions.

· A clear understanding of customer requirements to enable managing and maintaining strong relationships, ensuring customer retention and sales growth.

· Ability to identify any issues in client relationship and implement corrective actions through regular reviews.

· Ability to present packaging solutions to clients and prospects in a clear and concise manner with a consultative sales approach.

· To show leadership and play a key role in ensuring the business provides ultimate levels of customer service.

· Monitors and manages own time to ensure objectives are met.

The Package

· Salary £35 - £45k with OTE of circa £60k (negotiable, subject to experience)

· Company car allowance

· 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
