A full-time employment opportunity has arisen for a Day Operator based at our Belfast Terminal (Northern Ireland). The position would suit an individual seeking a challenging and rewarding career in the oil industry. Suitable applicants should have a good general education background and hold a full UK driving license. Previous operational experience within the oil industry would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided.
Terminal Day Operator
Reporting directly to the Deputy Terminal Manager, Day Operator duties involve:
- Day-to-day safe operation of a petroleum fuel storage and distribution terminal
- Remain up to date with & complete the Shift log & documentation ensuring the shift members are aware of current circumstances
- Routine monitoring, testing and checking of terminal equipment
- Preparing equipment for routine maintenance including shutting down and starting up of equipment
- Operate marine loading equipment & co-ordinate with Jetty personnel regarding loading, jetty operations & oil movements & the transferring of petroleum products
- Co-ordinate offloading of petroleum products received via road tankers
- Operating and gauging storage tanks
- Operating pumps, valves and pipelines
- Testing, inspecting and sampling products
- Knowledge of risk assessments, permit to work and site safety procedures
- Complying with company and site safety procedures at all times
The salary for the position is £26,000 and Puma UK offers a competitive benefits package including Pension Scheme, Private Medical Healthcare, and annual discretionary Bonus Scheme.
