The role:
We are looking to recruit self-motivated and enthusiastic Student Administrators to be part of the Faculty Student Administration function. This role plays a pivotal part in providing administrative support to students and the individual Schools across the University.
The role of a Faculty Student Administrator (FSTA) is wide ranging with its primary purpose to provide administrative assistance for undergraduate or postgraduate teaching along with supporting a wide range of activities such as induction and registration to graduation.
The majority of these roles are based on our main Clifton campus which is within close proximity to Bristol city centre and numerous transport links including two train stations. We also offer staff the opportunity to participate in the cycle to work scheme. We are lucky to be located in a vibrant, dynamic city with a reputation for creativity and sustainability.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a number of competencies including attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the able to prioritise a variety of work activities in a busy environment.
Ideally you will already have some relevant experience and possess the communication, drive and customer care skills to deliver a high quality service to a range of stakeholders at all levels. Good computer skills with experience working with Excel, Word and MS Outlook is strongly preferred.

The University is interested in receiving applications for these roles, working on a part-time basis at either 17.5 hours or 21 hours per week. Roles will be available on both an open ended and fixed term basis and a centralised recruitment process will be used to progress applications.
Please state in your supporting statement if you wish to be considered for 17.5 hrs, 21 hrs, or both.
If your application demonstrates that you meet the selection criteria you will be asked to complete an online test which will assess your computer skills along with situational judgement exercises. Successful applicants will then be invited to attend an interview. Candidates who are successful at this stage of the process will then be invited to a final informal interview to meet the recruiting managers from the relevant academic School. Success at this final stage will lead to an offer of employment from the recruiting school.
