Job description
Introduction
Our client is growing, and they need you to support them delivering Tempest/EMC compliant systems on naval ships for a variety of national and international customers.
They are looking for a Tempest Engineer with strong working knowledge of the standards and expectations to deliver effective solutions that meet client requirements and the requirements written to ensure compliance with the Tempest regulations!
This is a hybrid role and you will be expected to work on-site in your nearest location 1-2 days per week!

Key responsibilities
- Interact across all phases of the design lifecycle, explaining the complexities involved with Tempest compliance to stakeholders.
- Produce Tempest & EMC/EMI requirements at all design levels.
- Write Tempest & EMC/EMI design guidelines, developing models and performing analyses on components, subsystems and systems.
- Design ground systems, chassis and harness shielding under Tempest. EMC compliance.
- Prepare and review Tempest test procedures,
- Lead a team of Electrical Engineers and act as the Technical Authority.
Skills & experience
- Extensive working knowledge of Tempest standards in a maritime environment is ideal.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams and act as a Technical Authority.
- Ability to write detailed, Tempest compliant requirements and transcribe to internal and external stakeholders.
- Qualified to a degree level or HNC/HND equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Proven experience working across the full engineering lifecycle.
