Job description
This position is a PERMANENT role of around 20 - 30 hours per week with scope for more when cover required.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you are 100% flexible with the hours that you can work. We are a 24/7 business and run 365 days per year.
Shifts will range from MORNING, AFTERNOON and EVENINGS (including Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Shifts will change on a weekly basis, so again, it is essential that you are fully flexible.
Duties will include:
Taking telephone calls from customers and taxi drivers.
Data input into our computer systems.
Taking immediate and advanced bookings, including out of town trips.
Taking payments via the telephone by credit and debit card.
Dealing with customer enquiries & complaints.
General office duties.
Cleaning duties.
Skills Required:
It is ESSENTIAL that you can type quickly.
Attention to detail.
Good hearing and a clear telephone voice.
A confident and polite telephone manner.
The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
A good standard of spoken and written English.
Excellent computer and keyboard skills.
Excellent customer care skills.
The ability to deal with difficult calls in a calm and professional manner.
An awareness of confidentiality issues.
Good time-keeping and reliability.
Positive attitude towards work.
The ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Knowledge of the Thanet area is desirable.
We currently have 2 booking offices (Margate and Ramsgate). Successful candidate must be willing to work in both offices when required.
