Telephone Account Manager – Starting Salary £35,000.
We are looking for people with experience of intermediated sales in the adviser market. This could be as sales or customer service, professionals but crucially the successful candidate will have a passion for supporting intermediaries and promoting the benefits of Aviva specifically and protection insurance in general.
The job holder will be required to use a range of interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of ideas, activities and outcomes and be able to negotiate verbal agreements with their panel of accounts. They will also be determined to make a positive difference. They will care, listen, and understand, solving problems for our customers, and the business.

We are dynamic in this approach, using all available resources, from telephony to social media to online presentation and email marketing. Through this we showcase the Aviva Protection propositions by demonstrating the distinct and complimentary benefits of what we offer to our advisers to maximise sales opportunities
Our account managers also drive better value outcomes for Aviva through active account engagement. This segment of adviser customers represents c30% of all volume written in the adviser marketplace and is central to the delivery of profit and volume targets for Aviva.
The role will be both telephones, and office, so the job holder will need to be a highly motivated, a great team member and someone with excellent networking and collaboration skills.
Aviva operates a “smart-working” policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office, and this role is based at, Sheffield or Bristol.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- A commitment to professional exams. The role has a minimum requirement of R01 & R05 or equivalent qualifications. If do not hold, this is to be achieved within the first 12 months of role.
- Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrable Sales Skills.
- Adept at analysing and using data to make good business decisions.
- Specialist Protection experience in financial services sales environment.

- Starting salary £35,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
