The Role
We are looking for an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Consultant to join our Digital Technology Consulting Team, which is based within the Digital Services Portfolio (DSP). It is a position suitable for someone who has experience with technical consulting or has worked in a pre-sales technical design support or service provider/operator environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with firm understanding of ICT, good knowledge and experience using Autodesk software packages and strong interpersonal skills. You will be developing as a technical consultant on projects, producing project deliverables and collaborating with colleagues and clients.
The Opportunity:
The role will involve contributing to ICT projects. This primarily includes working with Autodesk products to produce technical schematics and 2D/3D drawings. Developing project deliverables such as presentations, basis of design documents, specifications, drawings, technical notes, and minutes of meetings.
We are looking for candidates with existing experience of working in the ICT field or who have a desire to apply and develop their technical skills in ICT consultancy. The candidate will have a proven track record of working with Revit and AutoCAD, they will be required to work on a diverse range of projects with time-specific deadlines. The candidate must be a team player and be comfortable coordinating and engaging with others, and is likely to be studying towards professional qualification (e.g. CITP, IEng/CEng).
Is This Role Right for You?
If so, you likely have:
- Knowledge and basic level skills working with the following software packages: Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Microsoft Office (suite of tools), PDF software (Adobe / Bluebeam or similar).
- Understanding and experience of one of more of the following ICT technologies; structured cabling systems, wired networks, wireless networks
- Capable of writing clear and concise correspondence including emails, technical notes, and preparation of easy-to-understand system diagrams.
- Experience of producing high quality PowerPoint presentations and good exposure with report wiriting
- Experience of working within design teams including ICT facilities or structured cabling systems elements.
- A good understanding of one or more of the following technologies: Local Area Networking (LAN), Wireless LAN, Integrated Reception Systems, Radio Over IP, Audio Visual Systems, Private Mobile Radio Systems, Radio Coverage Solutions.
