Your experience working in the telecoms or similar industry and a willingness to travel to client sites in the UK and Europe staying away Monday to Friday combined with your strong communication skills, customer focus, ability / desire to work as part of a team on independent tasks and your flexibility to travel, is what we are looking for. You will be working away from home Monday to Friday.
As Telecoms Technician you will be working in a team including Field Telecoms Engineers and Onsite Team Leaders mechanically disconnecting systems, lifting and carrying telecoms stock and moving large telecoms racks using lifting aids as well as loading and unloading collections / deliveries of telecoms equipment requiring physical strength and the ability to safely handle stock items.
Main Responsibilities are (but not limited to)
- Onsite de-installation & recovery of telecommunications equipment, in UK & European Sites
- Mechanical disconnection and movement of large telecoms systems including cables.
- De-installation and removal of telecoms infrastructure
- Electrical and optical disconnection of large telecoms systems
- Installation of test systems
- Equipment deliveries and collections
- Onsite detailing of telecoms switches
- Operate inventory management system
- Record serial numbers of purchased and sold stock items
- Assist with stock takes and inventory counting
- Maintain a tidy and organised warehouse
- Prepare stock for recycling
- Allocating stock to sales orders
- Picking stock
- Packing/Despatching goods
- Liaise with Couriers to dispatch goods
