Job description

We are looking for two Telecommunications Installers to join our team. ITI Network Services Ltd is a rapidly growing telecoms services and infrastructure business supplying services to a number of blue-chip clients.

The role includes travel to various areas of the UK mainly Midlands and the North West. Ideally candidates would be based between Milton Keynes and Manchester.

Telecommunications Installer Role Profile (Various Levels)

1. Job Title: TelecommunicationsInstaller (Various grades/levels)

2. Reports to: Project Managers

3. Job Purpose: To act as an Engineer on the deployment of telecommunications equipment for a wide range of customers on a variety of site types nationally.

4. Dimensions: The role does not require any day to day management activities but requires direct interface to the end customer. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide reporting functions into respective Project Managers.

5. Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Survey and Installation of racks and active equipment, fibre, CAT5/6, and electrical cable on customer premises and roadside.
  • Surveys of internal and external telco equipment across multiple vendors.
  • Works closely with other engineers, customers, and site contacts.

· Can document results using pre-determined mediums, ensuring that standards are achieved.

· Interpret design drawings and plans with support.

· Encourage cost effective delivery.

· Able to use standard tooling.

6. Special Features:

· Knowledge of Health and Safety

· Knowledge of and Quality systems

· Good understanding of media types, ADSL, Copper, Fibre, Structured cabling

· Knowledge of Data communications

· Knowledge of general Telecommunications

· Computer literate and able to use a wide range of software tools including Excel, Word

· Ability to read and interpret Product documentation

· Some OOH and un sociable working hours may be required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
