Want to make your mark on the Technology world? Join IBM’s Technology University Placement scheme to understand how our business operates. We have a variety of roles on offer spanning across all business units at IBM, some include; Infrastructure Specialists and Proof of Concept Developers just to name a few. You’ll be working alongside fantastic IBMers on client challenges, and you’ll be adding real business value to our company and clients. There are so many things at IBM for you to get involved in to help you make the most out of your placement. We have fantastic learning facilities, and you will have two managers to help guide support you through your time at IBM. The main locations the technology roles are based in are; London, Hursley (Winchester), North Harbour (Portsmouth) and Warwick. Please only apply if you would consider being based at one of these locations.
The Recruitment process –
Please only apply to ONE university placement scheme
You must be an undergraduate and in your second year at university
The process is quick and there will be no waiting round for weeks on end.
Occasionally some of our emails can go into your spam folder so make sure you are regularly checking your emails for updates from us.
Assessment centres will be 15th & 17th November so ONLY apply if you can make these dates, assessment centres will be virtual.
There are three stages of the recruitment process, you need to meet the requirements of each staged to pass onto the next

Your Role and Responsibilities

How can you make a difference?
Join our 12-week summer internship programme based in our London office. As a member of the IBM Technology team, you will have a varied and exciting role working in a creative environment, on meaningful projects that make a difference to our clients.
What will you do?
During your internship you will learn about IBM, develop foundational skills in sales and build a network. Our internships will give you the opportunity to work on an innovative technology project for internal or external client.
You will also have the opportunity to apply for one of our graduate roles so that you can return to university with a graduate job offer!

The summer intern will run from 29th June-15th September (11 weeks)
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- You must be in your penultimate year of an undergraduate degree course and due to graduate in 2024.
- You'll need to be studying at a UK University and on target for a 2:1 in your degree (minimum)
- The role will be based in London so you will need to live within commutable distance
- Eligible to working in the UK for the whole placement (UK/Ireland passport/Student visa/Settled or Pre-settled status)
